Living the dream |
I have been shooting a movie for three days and today is the third day called Queens of Country. Nothing major except I am just an extra at a 110.00 a day. I got heat stroke yesterday while sitting in the shade reading a book.
Shoots have extended into the night and today, we will be going until early tomorrow morning. Oh well, such i the life of someone you could see(if you looke fast enough) in your local movie theatre near you.

What's the name of your movie? Maybe it's something I'll see when it comes out.

'Queens' of the Country?
You mean like 'Queens'.... as opposed to 'Straights'?
Queens of the Country doesn't sound like anything I nor my family might see.

Maybe it's this:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1623788/Filming Locations: Cave Creek, Arizona
I guess that explains why he got heat stroke.

It's a German word. I think that if you have a doppleganger it is a being that looks just like you and that may impersonate you.

Re: Living the dream |
That's what Caplan was in the film. For one thing, her character along with twin "sister" were in a line dancing contest but she didn't really know how to dance and also for, held up production many times
for forgetting her lines and messing up in her line dance.
In the last shot of the night which is called "the Martini
Shot", she messed up rather as though she was doing her line dance for the first time. In the midst of her routine, she threw a small hissy fit, stomping the floor with her feet and exclaiming on a continiously basis, the F- words. The cast, crew, and extras were there last night until 1:30 a.m. . It would of been over at the schedule time
had Caplan just settle down and got through it.

Re: Living the dream |
I'm glad you got the job Quigs, but there's simply no excuse for anyone to throw tantrums like that. Doesn't matter if it's cast, crew, or even the director...no excuse. I was shouted at by a director for no reason once, and I have seen actors being jerks, and it's all very unprofessional behavior. I've heard of famous filmmakers past and present being tyrants on the set, and I have no respect for people who do that kind of thing no matter who they are. Life's too short for such childish nonsense!

Temperamental artists. Isn't that the usual excuse?
